Best of 2010 Music

Just like i did listing best of 2010 movies next up is Music. I listen to all sort of music so long as it is GOOD in my own terms. My playlist is mostly hiphop, rnb, reggae, alternative, soul and other undefined genres. So here is MY PICK for best of 2010 in Music.

Overall Best Album & Hiphop Album

Honestly who else deserve to be on this spot but Kanye West?  My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy album has it all production wise, concept, storytelling, format, Lyrical content, Guest Features as well as the creativity and no boundaries that makes Kanye West a genius. Even G.O.O.D. music Fridays songs that are not part of the album are much better than a full LP albums of other Artists.

Best RnB Album by a Male Artist

I always tell my friends, i care less about artists personal stuff, rather appreciate the quality of music they bring and who other is best at it than Mr.Robert Kelly. Love Letter takes you back to the 90's style of classic RnB with real music that will satisfy you within. 

Best RnB by a Female Artist

Chrisette Michele is one of the most under rated but talented artists. I have been a fan of Chrisette Michele since i first heard her with Nas in Cant Forget About You, i knew at that moment she was talented. Let Freedom Reign album boost of hits like I am Star, Goodbye Game, Let Freedom Reign ft. Black Thought & Talib Kweli.

Best Duo Album

If you are relevant reader of this blog then you will know i praise Nas & Damian Marley's Distant Relatives a lot. This was actually hard for me to decide because i wanted it to be overall best album but still the quality of this album with African concept as well as Real music speak for itself. 

Best Non hiphop

This year Cee Lo made us all kindly say "Fuck You" in an understandable manner.I actually do not know what genre that best fit for Cee Lo Green's The Lady Killer Album as it delivers in all genres such as rnb, soul, funk, pop. There is not a single track i skip whenever i am listening which is very rare and  this automatically put Cee Lo on my top artist list.

Best Pop/Soft Rock Album

Hands All Over album to me was flawless. Maroon 5 is what you call the perfect band that make great songs whether is live band instruments or studio produced you still feel their energy and vocals.

Best Alternative Album 

Bruno Mars had a great year from writing, producing and being featured in songs that turn to hits. It was time for Bruno Mars to shine on his own album and that is exactly what he did with Doo-Woops & Hooligans. From smash hits Just the way you are, Grenade, Count on me and all the songs there is none i can say is bad or boring.

Best International Album

Mr Hudson is one of a kind talented artist, his music does not fit in one category, he can do rnb, pop, jazz, reggae and undefined genres as well. Though Straight No Chaser was released in the UK in 2009, it was released in the US in 2010. The album was worth the delay with great songs such as Supernova ft. Kanye West, White Lies, and Time.

Best Mixtape 

Listening to this mixtape, i bet the first thing you will say is this is not a mixtape, is an album!!! that show how serious and talented J.Cole is bringing real hiphop back, so until his untitled album is released in 2011, this mixtape will be another classic by J.Cole
