Myles Kwesi Hutchful : The Bicycle Project

'Bicycles are everywhere and we've all had special and transformative experiences with them at some point in our lives.  My personal experiences with bicycles have been enchanting, enlightening, embarrassing and sometimes painful – very much like my experiences in life. From their utility to their aesthetic, bicycles permeate all levels of society and unite us in our abundant use of them.  Bicycles help people feed their families, accomplish their daily tasks and interact with their loved ones.  In fact, bicycles are silent witnesses to many wonderful and not so wonderful stories and experiences.'

The good folk Myles Kwesi Hutchful has been in touch with news of his new photography series, The Bicycle ProjectA project exploring the beauty and identity of bicycles in different parts of the world. Myles Kwesi Hutchful will exhibit the project at The EBMUD Art Gallery, Oakland-California. The Bicycle Project exhibition will feature beautiful, unique and timeless photographs from Belize, India, Ghana, France and the United States where bicycles are an integral part of people's lives. The exhibition will run from November 27, 2013 to January 3, 2014 and is free to the general public.
