Official Press Release:
ONLINE—Modern graphic artist, KaCeyKal, opens visual, online gallery to unveil exhibit: Serotonin DreamsThrough Ocular Means. The exhibit is exclusively online beginning January 1, 2015. As described by its name, Serotonin Dreams Through Ocular Means is sought out by the artist to bring color, fun and consciousness back into art. The [exhibit, artist, art] presents a theme of bright colors, shapely figured imagery and a cartoon-like atmosphere, especially with the reoccurring characters, the Lusting Eye and Naked Gals. The Naked Gals creates an awareness and appreciation to the female body with pieces that not only showcases the beauty of the body, but also its power and influence of the people and cultures of the world.
“This gallery [opening] is so important to the culture of art and to the development of artists everywhere. We use the Internet as a platform to show our work, but it is time to develop another level that can be taken more seriously,” KaCey explained. “The future of art is through innovation, and I believe this exhibition is the blueprint.” The gallery will also open an online shop of the artist’s merchandise, such as plush pins, prints, stickers, phone cases and many other daily essential items, which will be announced at a later date.
ABOUT KACEYKAL
KaCeyKal’s love of art began with a painting class at the age of five. In 2009, while studying creative writing at Oakland University, KaCey took his knowledge of modern, contemporary and classical art to his computer screen after downloading Photoshop. Blending his background of art with the new found digital platform helped broadened his resume. From creating mixtape cover art for local musicians to creating art for the Digital Madrid series, the cover of Viper Magazine and working closely with the Street Dreams Magazine team on various projects. His style has pop art elements, including vivid colors, intricate shapes and bold textures.
